Why Is Brown Rice More Healthy?

It is long known that brown rice is healthier than white rice. The milling process of removing the bran and the germ or embryo makes white rice less healthy than brown rice because the process will also remove the valuable nutritions and fibers like phytochemical nutrients, oils, vitamins, minerals, and fiber which cannot be replenished by rice manufacturers.

On the contrary, the unpolished brown rice has higher content of protein, minerals, fiber, flavor and the anti-oxidant phytochemicals. In particular, phytochemicals helps to lower cholesterol, as well as prevent heart disease and cancer.
